The Big 5!

FINDINGS: Respondent 5

For the fifth respondent, I had assumed that his/her personality fits with the fifth domain which is Neuroticism. In order to find out whether his/her personality totally fits into this domain, I did a survey for the respondent (R5) and another survey for the friend of the respondent (F5) using Survey Monkey. After I had done finishing the survey, I distributed or gave the link of the survey to the respective respondent and the respondent’s closest friend.

After R5 and F5 had completed the survey, I collected the results and these results are shown in their respective charts below:

Based on the chart above, the result of R5 mostly consists of “Neuroticism”, which gains 63% out of all. Even though, most of the percentage goes to “Neuroticism”, “Agreeableness”, “Openness to Experience” and “Extroversion” followed after with 13%, 12% and 12% respectively. However, the only personality that R5 does not have based from the result is “Conscientiousness” with no percentage at all.

In comparison from R5’s result to F5’s result, there are differences that I can see. All five big personalities can be seen from F5’s result. The percentage of personality “Neuroticism” is only 50% compared from R5’s result, which is 63%. “Openness to Experience” and “Conscientiousness” gains same percentage, 12%. “Extroversion” and “Agreeableness” also has the same percentage, which is 13%. Even though “Neuroticism” is still the biggest personality trait in R5, the result from F5 shows that R5 also has different personalities that are more on positive sides.

As a conclusion, by gaining both results, the personality of R5 is parallel to my assumption that I have made earlier in determining the personality.

FINDINGS: Respondent 4

For the fourth respondent, I had assumed that his/her personality fits with the fourth domain which is Agreeableness. In order to find out whether his/her personality totally fits into this domain, I did a survey for the respondent (R4) and another survey for the friend of the respondent (F4) using Survey Monkey. After I had done finishing the survey, I distributed or gave the link of the survey to the respective respondent and the respondent’s closest friend.

After R4 and F4 had completed the survey, I collected the results and these results are shown in their respective charts below:

From F4’s result, the most noticeable personality that he/she has is “Agreeableness”.  With the highest percentage of all, which is 75%, “Agreeableness” personality has been taken as the main personality that R4 has. “Conscientiousness” follows after with 13% and next, “Openness to Experience” with 12%. Based on the result as well, it seems R4 does not have the “Extroversion” and “Neuroticism” personality.

F4’s result has a little bit of differences with R4’s result.  Still acts the highest percentage of all, the percentage of “Agreeableness” has declined from 75% to 62%. Meanwhile, “Conscientiousness” is 25% and a new personality from F4’s result arises, which is “Neuroticism”, gains 13%.  “Openness to Experience” and “Extroversion” have 0%, each.

To conclude, with evidences from both results, my assumption on R4’s main personality has been confirmed as “Agreeableness”.

FINDINGS: Respondent 3

For the third respondent, I had assumed that his/her personality fits with the third domain which is Extroversion. In order to find out whether his/her personality totally fits into this domain, I did a survey for the respondent (R3) and another survey for the friend of the respondent (F3) using Survey Monkey. After I had done finishing the survey, I distributed or gave the link of the survey to the respective respondent and the respondent’s closest friend.

After R3 and F3 had completed the survey, I collected the results and these results are shown in their respective charts below:

Based on the result on the chart above, it clearly shows that R3 has the “Extroversion” personality. With more than 50%, it shows that R3 answered (c) frequently from the survey. Next with 25% is the “Openness to Experience” personality and followed by “Agreeableness” with 13%. “Conscientiousness” and “Neuroticism” gain 0% respectively.

Suprisingly, there is no difference in R3 and F3’s result from the surveys. I have to admit that I was suprised when I looked at the results. Both R3 and F3 had completed the surveys and the results that were recorded are the same. In order to make myself clear, I had to check both results a few times until I came into a conclusion that the closeness/friendship between R3 and F3 may effects on these results. F3 knows R3 the most that he/she is able to get the same result without any of them knows about it.

In the end, my assumption on R3’s personality is fully supported by both results from R3 and F3. Thus, the support makes my assumption is acceptable.

FINDINGS: Respondent 2

For the second respondent, I had assumed that his/her personality fits with the second domain which is Conscientiousness. In order to find out whether his/her personality totally fits into this domain, I did a survey for the respondent (R2) and another survey for the friend of the respondent (F2) using Survey Monkey. After I had done finishing the survey, I distributed or gave the link of the survey to the respective respondent and the respondent’s closest friend.

After R2 and F2 had completed the survey, I collected the results and these results are shown in their respective charts below:

From this chart above, R2’s result shows that his personality mostly consists of the “Conscientiousness” personality as he answered (b) the most. 75% of the result is about “Conscientiousness”. Second highest is “Agreeableness” with 13% , followed by “Extroversion” with 12%, less one point from “Agreeableness”. Since more than half of the percentage goes to “Conscientiousness”, there are no percentages for “Openness to Experience” and “Neuroticism”.

From F2’s result, there is a major difference from R2’s result. 86% of it belongs to “Conscientiousness” alone. The “Openness to Experience”, “Extroversion” and “Agreeableness” personality contain 0%. Suprisingly, according to F2’s result, R2 has the “Neuroticism” which is 14%.

Thus, my assumption of R2 has the “Conscientiousness” personality can be accepted based from both of these results. Even though there are big differences that I have found, the “Conscientiousness” personality rules R2’s personality.
